Before installation
Decide the power method, network segment, static IP plan, and loads connected to the relays. For PoE, verify that the switch port supports 802.3af/at; for DC power, confirm the 7–28V input range and polarity.
First access
Use the default network details only on a trusted, isolated setup network. Change the administrator password, assign a unique IP address, and record it in the asset inventory. Do not expose the management interface directly to the internet.
I/O naming and testing
Give each digital input and relay output a clear name that describes its field function. Test every channel without a load first and then under controlled conditions. Select NO/NC/C contacts according to the safe state required when power is lost.
Handover and backup
Record the firmware version, network settings, wiring diagram, and test results. Prepare a configuration recovery plan. Give operators clear instructions for manual control, alarm behavior, and safe shutdown.
